True Prosperity from The Daily Vulnerable #WithChude

A while ago I wasn’t feeling happy. So I subscribed to Chude Jideonwo’s show where he interviews real-life people, getting real-life stories from them. With that I also got a copy of The Daily Vulnerable #WithChude and below are three thoughts that resonated with me from reading The Daily Vulnerable.

1 – True Prosperity

“There is nothing wrong with striving to improve your life situation…

Your life situation consists of your circumstances and your experiences. There is nothing wrong in setting goals and striving to achieve things. The mistake lies in using it as a substitute for the feeling of life, for Being. The only point of access for that is the Now.

You are then like an architect who pays no attention to the foundation of a building but spends a lot of time working on the superstructure.

For example, many people are waiting for prosperity. It cannot come in the future.

When you honour, acknowledge, and fully accept your present reality – where you are, who you are, what you are doing right now – when you fully accept what you have got, you are grateful for what you have got, grateful for what is, grateful for Being.

Gratitude for the present moment and the fullness of life now is true prosperity. It cannot come in the future. Then in time, that prosperity manifests for you in various ways.

The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle

2 – It’s a game

“Like business, life is a game. It’s a fun field of possibilities and creativity. Many of the things that limit you from fully playing are fears, conditioning, taboos, traditions and other people’s ideas of what the world should be.”

3 – Energy

“You’re responsible for the energy you bring into any room.

Yes, you’re going through something, you’re upset about something, or you’re unsettled by this other thing. Your feelings are all valid.

Your energy however? It’s in your control.

It’s contagious.

And people can feel it, can sense it, can catch it.

Can you try, whatever happens, to ensure that you are giving an energy to the world that uplifts, ennobles, blesses?

You will find that it comes back to you.”
